Washington D.C. - Based Corporate Affairs
As part of our Washington, D.C. communications practice, we provide substantive
support for the technology sector, including:
- Technology Licensing
- Technology transfer and export control matters
- Trademark, copyright, patent prosecution and software matters
- Public advocacy of high-technology issues
Luxcore, Ltd.'s Washington colleagues also execute related public affairs
services. We possess these strategic capabilities:
FDA Consulting: Management of the FDA relationship and the regulatory
approvals and compliance process; liaison with the agency on behalf of
clients undergoing or anticipating FDA product approvals or regulatory
actions: for one client, we devised a program to track each shipment of
medical devices from the time it left port and was distributed in the
U.S., enabling the client to forestall public seizures of products, thereby
avoiding damage to commercial reputation and lost sales.
Advocacy: Develop and implement comprehensive political action plans
to impact legislative proposals; contact key members of the House and
Senate committees; grass-roots programs; media relations to convey coalitions'
messages to Congress and the public; encourage the introduction of legislation
more fairly representing client positions.
Grass-roots Constituency Development: Draft the language for bills to
secure relief desired by clients and assist in identifying congressional
members to introduce the legislation; help garner co-sponsors in the House
and Senate; develop a state-by-state direct-contact campaign key to legislative
timetables.
Legislative Monitoring and Analysis: Set up ongoing programs with real-time
monitoring and analysis of developments throughout official and unofficial
Washington; provide interpretations of these developments to help client
companies make informed decisions.
Trade Association Communications: Develop strategies that position trade
associations and their members as the more sympathetic "David" juxtaposed
to the "Goliath" image and tactics of larger institutions and
their allied policy makers.
Communications Counsel for Judicial Proceedings: Analyze previous similar
cases and assess local print interest and potential national coverage.
Create strategy for anticipated litigation, with materials readied, option
responses developed, spokespersons trained, and allies pre-identified.
Congressional/Judicial Testimony and Media Training: Preparation for
congressional and judicial testimony, including key message development;
Q&A; presentation; interview scripting; mock hearing simulation and
related media training.
